GMEN provides one on one financial literacy technical assistance to help people build financial well-being & wealth through coaching or counseling individuals and families. Our Technical Assistance Providers achieve this by working with our clients to:

Improve credit…

  • looking at the things that affect credit scores
  • discussing ways to build positive credit and raise credit scores

Budget and build savings..

  • by creating a budget sheet to look at income vs expenses
  • by discussing better ways to manage money & build savings

Provide information about making financial decisions such as…

  • buying a home
  • starting a small business
  • preparing for other financial goals 


 

Georgia Micro Enterprise Network (GMEN)

Having served as a voice of micro enterprise development in Georgia for over 25 years, GMEN - throughout its services, has championed the idea that business ownership empowers people to contribute to their own economic self-sufficiency and the well-being of their communities. GMEN’s programs and initiatives help to create brighter futures for underserved small businesses in the Southeast including, but not limited to, small business advisory services, technical assistance, business skills training for underserved business owners, community investment, emergency rental and mortgage assistance, flexible loan programs, from incarceration to reentry training and support services, as well as advocacy and thought leadership.  



Financial Literacy Services Provided

 

Our Technical Assistance providers also do classes but people can book an appointment to talk to any them for a 1-1 opportunity. (Recommended for people to work on their own finances and work on a strategy that best suits them.)

We also collaborate with our partners at Bank on Atlanta to offer other services such as…

  • First-time homebuyer workshop 
  • Access to open a savings account with a partnered credit unions 
  • Hosting workshops, classes, and events with our partners
